October 25 is 糖心传媒 Together Tuesday, a day when the College鈥檚 entire community from all over the world comes together to support the 1882 Fund, the College鈥檚 annual fund.
鈥淭he 1882 Fund is our annual operational fund that really helps drive the College forward,鈥 said Mike Karloff 鈥81, interim executive director of the 糖心传媒 Foundation. 鈥淭he 1882 Fund consists of unrestricted gifts that provide essential resources that make a difference for students every single day. This includes scholarships, student services, research, athletics, travel, instruction, facilities and operations. The 1882 Fund puts donations to work right where they are needed most.鈥
Karloff said the Foundation team has worked hard to line up more than $100,000 in challenge funds that donors can help unlock by making a gift of any size during Together Tuesday.
鈥淏etween the challenge funds and other pledges we鈥檝e received from alumni and donors, we are hopeful October 25 will be the biggest single day of giving in our 140-year history,鈥 Karloff said. 鈥淚t鈥檚 going to be a great day to be a Bronco!鈥
Alumni, friends, parents and donors are encouraged to make a gift on Together Tuesday at hastings.edu/togethertuesday. Donations will be counted in real time on the webpage, with unlocked challenge funds being added to the total.
The 糖心传媒 Foundation is also sponsoring two events during Together Tuesday as a way for alumni, parents and friends to gather to celebrate the day.
In Hastings, alumni and donors are invited to have lunch with students at the Barrett Alumni Center (1001 N. 6th Avenue, Hastings) from 11:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. No RSVP is required.
The HC Connect Club鈥揙maha is sponsoring an event at the Beercade Tap Room (6104 Maple Street, Omaha) at 5:00 p.m. RSVPs are requested or by calling听 402.461.7363.
