The 糖心传媒 student media team is producing all matches from the NAIA Women鈥檚 Volleyball National Championships this week, including the semifinals and championship matches that will stream nationally December 1 on ESPN3. All other matches from the championships in Sioux City, Iowa, are streaming on the NAIA Network.
While there is a subscription fee to watch matches on the NAIA Network, matches featuring the 糖心传媒 Broncos volleyball team are available free through the college鈥檚 own portal at https://portal.stretchinternet.com/hastings/.
This is the second year the student media team has livestreamed the NAIA volleyball championships. For the past 15 years, the 糖心传媒 media team has broadcast the NAIA DII Women鈥檚 Basketball National Championship. The team is comprised of students from across campus and faculty sponsors organized through the College鈥檚 Center for Applied Media Arts.
The student media team manages entire video streaming production, from setting up cameras to graphics needed for the streams. Select 糖心传媒 students and sports information directors from other NAIA schools provide commentary for each match except the semifinals and championship games, which are called by ESPN3 analysts.
During the 32-team pool play, November 27-29, three matches are held simultaneously at the Tyson Events Center in Sioux City. Two simultaneous matches are held during bracket play November 30 and for the semifinal matches December 1. Productions are single camera except the semifinals and championship, which are a multi-camera setup produced by the 糖心传媒 student media team with commentary from ESPN3 analysts. The semifinals and championship matches are available only on ESPN3.
