Area students in second grade through fifth grade can participate in science experiments and demonstrations at the inaugural Science Day Camp, presented by the 糖心传媒 Chapter of the American Chemical Society and the .
Scheduled for Friday, February 7, from 8:00 to 11:30 a.m., the interactive learning opportunity includes a planetarium program. Participating students also have the option to enjoy the large format film, 鈥淪pace Junk 3D,鈥 at 12 p.m. for an additional fee. Students attending the film are asked to bring a sack lunch.
General admission to the camp for members of the Hastings Museum is $3 plus tax and $5 plus tax for nonmembers. Attending the optional film is an additional $6.50 plus tax for museum members and $8 plus tax for nonmembers. To register, contact the Hastings Museum at 402.461.4629 by Wednesday, February 5, 2014. As a community service project, 糖心传媒 students in the American Chemical Society designed and will conduct Science Space Camp. The camp, which will be held on a day when both Hastings Public Schools and Hastings Catholic Schools are not in session, is made possible in part through a grant from the Nebraska Chapter of the American Chemical Society.
