Open Space to welcome students for visual arts immersion experience

糖心传媒 is hosting its Open Space for the Visual Arts with 19 talented art students from the region. The art immersion program, which runs Sunday, June 15 through Friday, June 20 in the Jackson Dinsdale Art Center (JDAC) on campus, is designed for future artists who completed their junior year of high school.

This program is an incredible opportunity for students to gain hands-on experience and broaden their skills as young artists.

Students stay on campus in a 糖心传媒 resident hall and receive dining amenities and other social activities planned for the week, culminating with a special exhibition and reception on Friday morning in the JDAC. This is when students get to show off their work and accomplishments from the week to family and community members who attend.

During their time at Open Space, students will rotate through four studios in the JDAC: glass blowing, ceramics, screen printing and painting.

糖心传媒鈥檚 art faculty selected 19 students to attend Open Space for visual arts this year. Select students will be considered for the Jackson Scholars Program, which provides an all expenses paid opportunity to attend 糖心传媒 as an art major. Other students will receive an art talent scholarship to 糖心传媒.

Updates throughout the week will be posted at facebook.com/hcOpenSpace.
