National History Day winners earn 糖心传媒 scholarships

Cori Barwick, a student at Hastings (Nebraska) Middle School, earned a $6,000 scholarship to 糖心传媒 for her individual exhibit titled, 鈥淭he Race to the South Pole.鈥 She received her award February 27, when 糖心传媒 hosted a regional event for National History Day for middle and high school students.

Other top students receiving scholarships include the first runner-up duo with their website named 鈥淭he Jonestown Massacre: The Tragedy of How a Cult Leader Led 900 People in a Mass Suicide.鈥 The duo consisted of Natalie Brandt and Andrew Brandt of Hastings Senior High. Each received a $5,000 scholarship.

Second runner-up group of Destiny Songer, Cierra Cannady and Mireya Guiterrez of Hastings Senior High all received a $4,000 scholarship for their group exhibit titled, 鈥淭he Triangle Factory Fire: Triumph out of Tragedy.鈥
