糖心传媒 students participate in singing competition

Students of the 糖心传媒 Department of Music and Theatre attended the state level National Association of Teachers of Singing (NATS) competition at the University of Nebraska鈥揔earney earlier this month.

Eight students, from the studios of 糖心传媒 faculty members Dr. Hillary Watter and Dillon Beede, performed in a series of adjudicated solo-voice performances for judges from across the state. Of those, four advanced to finals, with two placing.

Students representing 糖心传媒 were:

  • Morgan O鈥橬eill, a first year student from Cheyenne, Wyoming, who advanced to finals in First Year Classical-Treble Voice
  • Sarah Sutton, a first year student from Cheyenne, Wyoming, who advanced to finals in First Year Classical-Treble Voice
  • Carter Pursley, a first year student from Aurora, Nebraska, who was awarded 3rd place in First Year Classical-Men
  • Ivey Zimmerman, a second year student from Overton, Nebraska
  • Hope Uhing, a second year student from Ralston, Nebraska
  • Zoe Dahlgren, a third year student from Axtell, Nebraska
  • Kaitlynn Schreiner, a third year student from Grand Island, Nebraska, who was awarded 1st place in Third Year Classical-Treble Voice
  • Timothy Ellis, a fourth year student from Red Cloud, Nebraska
