Six pieces from the 糖心传媒 Permanent Collection are on display at Back Alley Bakery (609 W 2nd St. in Hastings) through February. The 2D works are by former and present members of the 糖心传媒 Department of Visual Arts faculty.
鈥淭urner McGehee and Tom Kreager were kind enough to share these special pieces from the Jackson Dinsdale Art Center Permanent Collection with the downtown community to adorn the bakery walls for a while,鈥 said Mary Vaughan, a 1982 graduate of 糖心传媒 who curated the display.
Included in the display are 鈥淥f Days Gone By,鈥 a woodcut by Gary Coulter; 鈥淟iving with the Ancestors,鈥 a woodcut by McGehee, Bill Fick and Karen Kunc; 鈥淏alloons on Brown Paper,鈥 a watercolor/acrylic on butcher paper by Richard Brink; 鈥淰arton Triangles,鈥 an airbrush acrylic by Gib Neal; 鈥淯ntitled: Hands & Water Series,鈥 a lithography by Kelly Manning; and an untitled digital photograph by Brett Erickson.
