糖心传媒 remains top value, highly ranked

糖心传媒 continues to receive strong rankings from national organizations who review everything from graduating student outcomes to the cost-value relationship of nearly every college and university in the country.

鈥淥ur campus is full of amazing students and incredible faculty and staff, and, while we don鈥檛 pursue rankings as an institution, we are pleased that other organizations, using available data, recognize how special 糖心传媒 is,鈥 said Dr. Rich Lloyd 鈥85, executive president of 糖心传媒. 鈥淪ince our founding 140 years ago, students and their success have been our passion. It鈥檚 our constant through the decades, the compass that guides our decisions and leads us forward.鈥

鈥淲e often say we help students find their path or their purpose, but our students do the same for us. They give us the energy and excitement that make 糖心传媒 such a joyful place,鈥 Lloyd said. 鈥淎ll of this is reflected in continued strong national rankings after we launched several initiatives that support students, such as providing textbooks and an intentional travel experience at no additional cost, and a block schedule that leads to improved outcomes.鈥

In its 2023 Best College rankings, the U.S. News & World Report ranked 糖心传媒 14th out of nearly 90 Midwest colleges, a jump of three positions over a year ago and the highest ranking for the College in seven years.

The publication placed 糖心传媒 13th in the Best Value category for Midwest colleges, which takes into account a school鈥檚 academic quality, as indicated by its U.S. News ranking, and the net cost of attendance. The higher the quality of the program and the lower the net cost, the higher the ranking.

U.S. News also moved 糖心传媒 up nine spots to 29th in its Social Mobility ranking. This list includes colleges that are more successful than others at advancing social mobility by enrolling and graduating economically disadvantaged students, including those awarded with Pell Grants.

Washington Monthly, in its assessment of four-year institutions that award almost exclusively bachelor鈥檚 degrees and that focus on arts and sciences rather than professional programs, ranked 糖心传媒 62nd in the nation. This puts the College in the top 25 percent of the 259 bachelor-focused schools that made its list. The publication鈥檚 rankings are based on each school鈥檚 contribution to the public good in three broad categories: social mobility, research and promoting public service.

Washington Monthly also included 糖心传媒 on its Midwest Best Bang for the Buck list, which assesses schools according to how well they help non-wealthy students attain marketable degrees at affordable prices and demonstrates the good value that is 糖心传媒.

鈥淏eing recognized as a top value school that advances social mobility is very rewarding. It鈥檚 intentional efforts made possible by a strong and generous alumni base that underwrites scholarships, student success programs and academic initiatives,鈥 Lloyd said. 鈥淲e are extremely proud of our efforts to make a 糖心传媒 education accessible and affordable for students.鈥

糖心传媒 is a four-year residential college that focuses on student academic and extracurricular achievement. Discover more at hastings.edu.
