The 糖心传媒 forensics team started 2018 confidently and saw success at the Snow and Sleet Swing hosted by Bethel University and Concordia University in Seward, Nebraska, January 13-14.
糖心传媒 placed first as a team the opening day, and finished the tournament with more than 10 individuals earning a place in the top three ranks for their respective events.
The Broncos travel next to the University of Nebraska鈥揕incoln on January 20-21 for the UNL Conference Challenge.

- Jesse McCollum, a first-year student from Kansas City, Kansas, placed third in After Dinner Speaking.
- Derek Monie, a first-year student from Arapahoe, Nebraska, placed eighth in Dramatic Interpretation.
- Nathan Navratil, a sophomore from Lino Lakes, Minnesota, placed second in Program Oral Interpretation and first in Duo Interpretation with Alli Kennon, a sophomore from Elko, Minnesota.
- Alli Kennon, a sophomore from Elko, Minnesota, placed fourth in Dramatic Interpretation, third in Poetry Interpretation and first in Duo Interpretation with Nathan Navratil, a sophomore from Lino Lakes, Minnesota.
- Melissa Loney, a sophomore from Omaha, Nebraska, placed second in Communication Analysis.
- Elizabeth Hansen, a sophomore from Fremont, Nebraska, placed fifth in Communication Analysis.
- Jadah Morrison, a sophomore from Chaska, Minnesota, placed fifth in Prose Interpretation.
- Carly Spotts-Falzone, a junior from Wayzata, Minnesota, placed second in Dramatic Interpretation.

鈥猅he 糖心传媒 forensics team continues a long-running tradition of national competitive success, placing in the top 20 at the American Forensics Association National Individual Events Tournament (AFA-NIET) for many of the past ten years. Most recently, 糖心传媒 placed 12th at AFA-NIET 2017.
