Bronco speakers compete at Kansas Swing forensics tournament

While many 糖心传媒 students ventured home over the January Term Break, members of the Bronco Forensics team traveled to Manhattan, Kan., to participate in the January 25-26 Kansas Swing hosted by Kansas State University and the University of Nebraska-Lincoln.

Individual results follow.

The Broncos will travel to Cheyenne, Wyo., next weekend to compete in the 2014 Flatland Fiesta.

Kansas Swing, Saturday, January 25:

Kathryn Edwards, a freshman from Louisville, Neb.

5th place, Impromptu Speaking

7th place, Extemporaneous Speaking

Kansas Swing, Sunday, January 26:

Amanda Cargile, a senior from Devine, Texas

2nd place, Poetry Interpretation

5th place, Prose Interpretation

Eunice Adounpke, a sophomore from Omaha, Neb.

2nd place, Program of Oral Interpretation

The 糖心传媒 forensics team has continued a long-running tradition of national competitive听success, placing in the top 20 at the American Forensics Association National Individual Events Tournament (AFA-NIET) for most of the past ten years, including 16th at听AFA 2012 in San Marcos, Texas, and 18th at听AFA 2011 in Kearney, Neb.
