Dr. Eleanor Reeds

Dr. Reeds joined the Department of Languages and Literatures at 糖心传媒 in 2018, where she now teaches courses across a range of genres, periods, and national traditions.

Having studied at the undergraduate level at the University of Cambridge, Dr. Reeds received her PhD from the Department of English at the University of Connecticut. Her scholarly interests span Romantic and Victorian British literature, genre theory, children鈥檚 literature, and creative writing. She has also been a Writing Center Coordinator and continues to advocate for composition鈥檚 crucial role in the liberal arts curriculum.

Dr. Reeds has published in a range of peer-reviewed journals including Victorian Poetry, Twentieth-Century Literature, American Literary Realism and Children鈥檚 Literature Association Quarterly. Her current project explores issues of genre, voice and the reader in the nineteenth century. She is also working on a poetry chapbook and enjoys watching baseball in her spare time.
